2010 Pageant Applications Available

The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce and J. Nava Studios are accepting applications for the 2010 Miss Onion Fest Pageant and Miss Weslaco Pageant, March 5 & 6. Young ladies are invited to pick up an application at the Weslaco Chamber, located at 301 W. Railroad St., J. Nava Studios at 901 E. 6^th St., or download the applications from our website at www.weslaco.com.

Three queens are selected at the Miss Onion Fest Pageant. The categories include Springsweet Miss, ages 10-11; Miss Onion Blossom, ages 12-13; and Miss Onionfest, ages 14-15.

Miss Onion Fest contestants must reside in the Mid Valley area which includes: Weslaco, Donna, Progreso, Progreso Lakes, La Villa, Edcouch, Elsa and Mercedes.

One young lady will be selected at the Miss Weslaco Pageant to serve as a dignitary for the city and participate in yearly activities with the Weslaco Chamber. Contestants must be a high school sophomore or junior and reside in the Weslaco School District and/or City Limits.

No experience necessary. All contestants will receive pageant training at rehearsals. Application deadline for both pageants is Friday, February 12.
